I have a request for refinance signing. The package has no documents to notarize, just a bunch of application documents needing signatures. Would I need to complete a signature acknowledgment for this package? Or just verify the customer’s ID and signatures? — S. D., Florida
No, you would not need to complete an acknowledgment certificate for each signature, and yes, your role in this transaction would simply be to witness their signatures. In this particular transaction you are not acting as a Notary Public.
