No. When the notarial wording reads, “…personally know to me or who has produced _____ as identification…” you would enter the type of identification in the blank space. It is not necessary to cross out ‘personally known’ in this instance. By filling in the blank, everyone will know how you identified the signer. You should also record how you identified the signer in your journal entry for the notarization.
