How do I record a cancelled notarization in my journal?

I entered information into my journal for a notarization, but the notarization was cancelled in the middle of the transaction.  What do I do about the journal entry?M.E., California

You can void out the journal entry. By drawing a single line through the entry and write “VOID”.  In addition, we recommend adding a notation stating why the entry was voided.

Hotline answers are based on the laws in the state where the question originated and may not reflect the laws of other states. If in doubt, always refer to your own state statutes. – The Editors

In California, there are so many delays, postponements, closures due to Covid. Affected are available classes, available exam appointments, Log jam at Secretary of State for application acceptance, closure of County Recorders for Oaths and Bond recording, delays in mailing out responses to Sec of State from County Recorder. Many of us will have to wait months for our recommission or possibly at risk of them expiring. Has anyone requested another extension for Governor Newsom?

My notary commission was extended to January 29, 2021 due to Covid 19. My commission expired August 2, 2020. I was finally able to take the exam for my renewal on November 10, 2020 and passed. Will my commission be extended after January 29, 2021? Or, will I just be inactive until my commission paperwork is complete? I don't believe I will be receiving my commission before then due to the backlog. Please advise. Thank you.

This is a change of subject: Is there such a thing as a blank form for Power of Attorney?
