Tracee Jordan named Notary of the Year at NNA 2017 Conference

Tracee Jordan Named 2017 Notary Of The Year

Congratulations to Tracee Jordan of Houston, Texas, who was named as the 2017 Notary of the Year at the NNA 2017 Conference in Dallas, Texas, on June 6.

A Notary for nine years, Jordan was recognized for her exemplary service to her community. As the founder of 24-Hour Notary Houston, a mobile Notary firm that serves Houston and the surrounding area, she has demonstrated her compassion and generosity toward others.

“Tracee’s kindness and spirit of generosity are just a few of the reasons we are honoring her as Notary of the Year,” said NNA President and CEO Tom Heymann during the award presentation at NNA 2017’s Gala Banquet.

“I'm going to dedicate this award to the Church brothers,” Tracee said. “I also want to recognize my fellow honorees. All of our stories are uniquely different but they all have the same foundation of service to one another.”

A consistent contributor to the community, she has no problem closing down her business once a year to host a “Will-a-Thon” where she performs free notarizations for veterans, seniors, and low income individuals. She also visits her local hospitals to provide free services to patients, employees, and social workers.

Typifying her enduring commitment to helping her community, Jordan once offered free Notary services for a grandmother who desperately needed to gain temporary custody of her grandchildren after they were involved in a tragic accident that resulted in the passing of their stepfather. Not content to simply notarize the necessary documents for free, Jordan created a GoFundMe account and began various community fundraisers at businesses and churches to help the family recover.

In addition to Jordan, Alisha Allen of Wingate, North Carolina; Brenda Charles-Edwards of Seattle, Washington; and Lorraine Gabryelski of San Diego, California, were recognized as 2017 Notary of the Year Honorees. They all personify the best traditions of public service and consumer protection.

Each year, the National Notary Association recognizes Notaries from among a group of exceptional individuals nominated for outstanding professionalism, ethics and philanthropic efforts in their communities. Read more information about Tracee Jordan in the upcoming August 2017 issue of The National Notary magazine.
