If a signer is having multiple documents notarized, can I simply draw a line in the journal and have him sign once for all of the documents? - B.R., Lompoc, CA
No. Government Code Section 8206(2)(a) requires certain entries for each notarized document, one of which is the signature of each signer. Therefore, you cannot draw a single signature line; you must have the signer sign each line separately.
