Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler, a featured speaker at the NNA’s 2011 Conference in Las Vegas, has been named President of the National Association of Attorneys General for the coming year. His presidential initiative centers on “Privacy in the Digital Age.”
Gansler has been a strong advocate of the Notary office for years. His welcoming address before more than 500 attendees at the 33rd Conference focused on the essential role that a Notary plays in establishing trust in America’s daily transactions. He named Notaries the “guarantors of trust,” stating that the notarial act is what seals the integrity of agreements and contracts. AG Gansler has pledged his commitment to strengthening the ability of Notaries to protect the public against fraud.
