This month, the NNA’s NSA and Small Business Section reported on new laws in New York that may pave the way for electronic notarization, expert tips on how Notaries can thrive in a down market and ways in which the Small Business Administration is offering help for credit-strapped entrepreneurs. In order to deliver this level of industry-specific news and information to Notaries, the NNA has developed a distinguished Advisory Panel for all of our six professional Sections. In this Advisor Spotlight, we introduce you to signing agent and small business expert Steve McDonald.
Steve McDonald is the director of government partner programs at Red Vision, an independent company that provides real property research solutions. It is a role to which McDonald brings years of expertise as a recorder and as a leader in issues dealing with privacy and statutes.
McDonald has extensive experience working in both public and private businesses. Prior to his role at Red Vision, McDonald served for 12 years as the Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds. He was a founding board member of The Property Records Industry Association (PRIA) and served as president of the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers (IACREOT) from 2007-2008.
