With the passage of Arizona's new ID law, Notaries are quickly registering for training classes to comply with the revised directives. To accommodate their needs, the NNA has doubled its Arizona training opportunities this month.
House Bill 2037, which took effect July 29, requires Notaries to accept specific types of identification as satisfactory evidence of identity that are compliant with U.S. Department of Homeland Security standards. It also allows for supplementary identification documents, and mandates seven required features for these other IDs.
The NNA has a long legacy of offering customized training courses when new laws are introduced, most recently Colorado, Illinois, Montana and Rhode Island. For more information about Arizona's New Law program, please visit nationalnotary.org.
