NORTH CAROLINA — In her work for the town of Knightdale, Suzanne Yeatts wears a lot of hats — she’s the town clerk, human resources director and a Notary. But she doesn’t let her busy schedule hinder her professionalism, which is why she recently was presented with the Mayor’s Award as an outstanding town employee who goes above and beyond the norm.
“Suzanne is truly indispensable,” said Knightdale Mayor Russell Killen. “She is a dedicated worker and always goes the extra mile to see that things are done correctly and to ensure that everyone is treated fairly. She is honest and straightforward, but carries herself in a caring way that makes everybody appreciate her.”
Yeatts says her Notary commission is a key part of her daily activities. Among the many documents she notarizes are official town records such as retirement and beneficiary forms for employees. She also notarizes wills and other documents for local residents at no charge. Yeatts says she performs as many notarizations for private citizens as she does for official town purposes, and she enjoys the variety.
Her dedication and willingness to make time to help signers are the keys to her success as a Notary. “People like knowing where they can find a Notary,” Yeatts said. “It helps both my coworkers and the general public.”
