How can I specify whether I’m a mobile Notary or have an office customers can visit?

You can specify whether you are a mobile Notary or operate in an office by editing your Find a Notary profile. Log into your My NNA account to edit your Find a Notary profile and select the appropriate option under the “Service Type” section.

How do I highlight the types of notarizations I specialize in?

To highlight the types of notarizations you specialize in, edit your Find a Notary profile. Log into your My NNA account, navigate to the "My Find a Notary Profile" tab, and select the specific Notary services you offer under the "Services" section.

How do I hide my address on my Find a Notary profile?

Your full address will be displayed by default if you are a retail Notary. If you prefer only to show your city, state, and ZIP code, you can select the “Mobile Notary” option under the “Service Type” field when editing your Find a Notary profile. If you select both mobile and retail Notary, your full address will be displayed.

Why isn’t my profile showing up on the directory?

There are a few reasons why your profile might not appear on the directory. Here are some things to check:

  1. Background Screening: Your profile won't be visible if you haven't already passed the NNA Background Screening. The NNA Background Screening is mandatory for all Notaries listed on FindaNotary.com to ensure the highest security and trustworthiness on our directory.
  2. Opt-in Settings: Make sure you have opted in to make your profile public. To do this, log into your My NNA account, navigate to the "My Find a Notary Profile" tab, and locate the "Display My Profile" field. If you see the alert displayed below, it indicates you need to opt in to make your profile publicly visible. Once you've saved your changes, your profile should become visible to potential customers.
  3. Address and Notary Services: Complete your Find a Notary profile by providing necessary details, including your address, service type, and the types of notarizations you specialize in.
