A buyer has a vehicle title that the seller signed but did not notarize. What should he do? Contact DMV? I told him I needed the owner to be present. — T. C., North Carolina
You are correct that the vehicle seller must appear in person before the Notary and sign the title. As you mentioned, the best solution would be for the buyer to contact the DMV to find out how to address this issue.
