I am trying to file my oath by mail and I was asked to mail a "letter requesting a conformed copy of the bond." I am not sure what that is? — E.L., California
A conformed copy of the bond is an official copy of the bond after it has been recorded. To request a conformed copy of your bond, write or type on a piece of paper the following: “Please send a conformed copy of my bond for confirmation of filing.” There is no special form or format. Be sure to sign, date and include your contact information. Also, include a self-addressed stamped envelope so the conformed copy of the bond may be sent to you.
