If the document being notarized does not have a date, should I enter the date the notarization took place be in my journal entry instead, or should the date be left blank in the journal entry? — A.S., Texas
You should not leave the entry space for the document date blank in your journal because Texas law requires the date of the document to be recorded in your journal. In this case, your best course of action is to write “No Date” in your journal.
