Companies that hire Signing Agents can now automatically validate NSA credentials in real time through SigningAgent.com — so make sure your profile is up to date to ensure your eligibility for assignments.
New NSA data exchange system
The new “Notary Signing Agent Data Exchange” system will use a technology known as Application Program Interface (API) to automatically update participating companies and lenders with the latest real-time information on a Notary’s credentials such as background screening status, E&O insurance policy and certification from the Notary’s SigningAgent.com listing.
For Notary Signing Agents who are registered with Snapdocs — the first company to participate in this process — this means their listings with the company will be updated automatically whenever the NSA updates their SigningAgent.com profile. NSAs do not need to update each listing separately, said Mike Flores, VP of Sales and Marketing for Snapdocs.
“With this system, we now have a direct way to verify the validity of credentials uploaded by Snapdocs Notary Signing Agents,” he said. The new system removes the need for Snapdocs employees to manually look up NSA credentials at SigningAgent.com, making the verification process more efficient and convenient for Notaries.
Protecting the Signing Agent's privacy
To ensure that Signing Agents’ privacy is protected, all sensitive information in the NSA’s listing is protected by encryption to prevent unauthorized privacy breaches. “Security is a deep concern of Snapdocs, and we’ve taken many measures to protect sensitive information,” he said.
According to Flores, Notaries who are verified with Snapdocs get 40 percent more business from title companies and escrow companies than non-verified Notaries. “Taking the time and care to get fully verified by Snapdocs is imperative, and the first step is to work with the NNA to get the appropriate certifications,” he said.
