The NNA has added an important new panel to its Conference 2012 agenda featuring some of the nation’s top Notary regulating officials who will discuss new state laws impacting Notaries, and ways to ensure statutory compliance to protect them against legal claims.
The panel — hosted by NNA Vice President of Best Practices and eNotarization William A. Anderson — features leading members of the Notary Public Administrator Section of the National Association of Secretaries of State, including Alicia Stewart from California, Mike Smith from Georgia, and Lori Hamm from Montana.
The discussion will revolve around how to identify and prevent errors most commonly made by Notaries, using examples from actual investigations into Notary misconduct to illustrate key message points. They will also analyze emerging Notary legislation within their states and across the country, describe how Notary Commissioning offices work, and offer Conference attendees expert advice on how to prevent misconduct within their jurisdiction.
