House Bill authorizes an acknowledgment of paternity affidavit to be witnessed by two witnesses or notarized instead of solely being notarized as required under current law.

House Bill 567 makes changes to Ohio's Notary Public statutes and removes the notarization requirement for certain documents related to the titling of motor vehicles.

Senate Bill 288 turns the broad duty of a Notary Public as a mandated reporter of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation into a prohibition for a Notary to knowingly fail to report such abuse, neglect, or exploitation and classifies a violation as a misdemeanor of the fourth degree.
