Your New Mexico Notary Surety Bond

New Mexico law requires all Notaries to purchase and maintain a $10,000 Notary surety bond for the duration of their 4-year commission. The Notary bond protects the general public of New Mexico against any financial loss due to improper conduct by a New Mexico Notary. The bond is NOT insurance protection for New Mexico Notaries.

Do I need anything besides my bond?

You can purchase your New Mexico Notary bond on its own or as part of an NNA Notary supply package. How will I receive my bond?

Most bonds purchased from the NNA in New Mexico are emailed to you 24-48 business hours after placing an order containing a bond, but not more than 30 days prior to your current commission expiration date. If you did not receive your bond, please contact us.
