This course satisfies the requirement for Illinois Notaries to complete a course of study as part of the commission application process. It also prepares the Notary to pass Illinois’ State-Required Notary exam which follows this course.
Course highlights include:
- Detailed instructions on the application process and the role of a Notary.
- An overview of the five-step notarization process.
- Notarial acts you will be commissioned to perform and the penalties you may face if you commit misconduct.
Exam Information:
- Exam contains 50 multiple-choice and true-false questions.
- You must pass with a score of 85% or higher to receive a certificate to submit with your Illinois Notary Public Commission application.
- If you don't pass the exam on your first attempt, you can take it two more times. A percentage of the questions will be new.
- A third exam failure requires restarting the course.
