  • Training and an exam may be required. If your commission has been expired for more than 30 days, you’ll need to complete the state’s online training and exam.
  • Submit your application online. Visit the state’s website to fill out and submit your renewal application online.
  • New Jersey Notary commissions last five years. Once approved, your commission will be appointed by the New Jersey State Treasurer, not the National Notary Association.
