What to know when renewing as an Indiana Notary Public

What to know when renewing as an Indiana Notary Public

  • Follow the same process as becoming an IN Notary. The eligibility requirements are the same as when you got your previous commission, and you’ll need to complete a state-required Notary training course provided by the Indiana Secretary of State.
  • You’ll need a criminal background check. You have to get your Indiana State Police Limited Criminal History Record before submitting your application. You must submit your application within 30 days of receiving your limited criminal history record.
