The certificate tells the Notary what to do. It identifies what type of notarization to perform and what actions the Notary must take. When the Notary completes and signs the certificate, he or she officially certifies certain facts have been verified. The Notary's seal authenticates the Notary's signature and makes the notarial act official. In this webinar, you will discover how to review a Notary certificate and how to use and store your Notary seal.
The purpose of the certificate
Where a Notary finds the certificate
The significance of the seal (or as in NY, the Notary's commission information)
States' requirements for seals
The webinar was led by Patti Wulfestieg, an NNA Seminar Instructor. Due to technical difficulties, you won't be able to see Patti giving the presentation; however you can still hear her and see the presentation slides.
