The National Notary Association urges all Notaries and employers of Notaries to submit their nominations online for the 2012 Notary of the Year award before the final deadline of 5 p.m. PT on Friday, December 30.
The NNA is looking for Notary candidates from all states and in all industries who are guided by sound notarial practice, are able to take a leadership role among Notaries, and who have a profound impact within their own community.
Nominees must be NNA Members in good standing, maintain an active Notary commission/license for at least three years, always follow Notary best practices, including keeping a journal of all notarial acts regardless of state regulations, and exhibit high ethical standards. Notary candidates should also illustrate a commitment and dedication to continuing Notary education —for themselves and for the mentoring of fellow Notaries — and dedicate themselves to advancing the American Notary office though advocacy and community service.
Five top finalists will receive complimentary 2012 Conference registration, round-trip airfare, hotel stay at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina, and be featured in the March issue of The National Notary magazine. The 23rd annual Notary of the Year 2012 will be announced live at the Conference’s gala banquet on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. He or she will be rewarded with a handsome trophy, recognition in several NNA publications, and a $1,000 scholarship from the National Notary Foundation to benefit the educational institution of their choice.
