Please Help Haiti In Any Way Possible

National Notary Association Member Gerrie Pierre-Fleurimond knows exactly how important it is to help the people of Haiti. Both she and her husband are of Haitian descent, and when the devastating earthquake hit in January they spent several days frantically searching for relatives and loved ones.

It took a week of struggle, but eventually Gerrie and her husband, Christian, made contact. Sadly, Christian lost a niece and an elderly relative, but most family members have been accounted for and the couple is trying to determine how to best care for them. They have not yet received the comfort and care they so desperately need, as almost the entire nation has been left distraught, injured, homeless and hungry.

Amid the destruction, however, Gerrie says she has heard remarkable stories of Haitians coming together opening up their homes and hearts to total strangers driven into the streets. She asks her fellow Notaries in the United States to do everything they can to help.

Amidst the destruction, however, Gerrie says she has also heard remarkable stories of Haitians coming together opening up their homes and hearts to total strangers driven into the streets by the earthquake — and she asks her fellow Notaries in the United States to do everything they can to assist.

“Please help Haiti in any way possible through the National Notary Foundation or other reliable charities,” said Gerrie, who in 2003 was honored as the NNA’s Notary of the Year. “If everyone gives a little, it all adds up. I’d like to give my thanks and gratitude for what people have done already.”
