Obtain Your State-Required Bond, Seal and Supplies
The NNA will provide everything you need to become a Notary in Hawaii including your official seal stamp, $1,000 bond, record book and Notary Public sign.
Complete Your State-Required Application and Exam
Download and complete your Hawaii Notary Public application. Print and sign your name exactly as you would like your commission to be issued. Mail your application, letters of justification and character, and filing fee to the State.
After approval of your application by the Hawaii Attorney General, completion of a written examination is required. When your application is approved you will be notified of your exam date, place and time.
Become a Hawaii Notary Public
Immediately after you receive your Letter of Passing, fax the NNA a copy to 1-800-833-1211. We'll promptly send you your executed Notary bond and official seal stamp. Follow the instructions you received from the Attorney General's office to complete the commissioning process.
