Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, scheduling, developing and executing multiple types of marketing campaigns efficiently, on time, in budget and to a high degree of quality. The position will work across multiple marketing channels, and will coordinate activities and share critical information with various departments.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sr. Marketing Manager in coordinating various integrated marketing activities.
  • Plan and execute assigned marketing campaigns to promote NNA products and services to target audiences in order to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor campaigns and analyze results to ensure that expectations are met or exceeded; based on analysis, make recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Support market research and maintain competitive matrix.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Notary practices and the needs of Notaries.
  • Support the annual planning and budgeting process. Manage marketing planning for assigned states, if appropriate.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Three years of marketing experience in a direct marketing environment.
  • Experience in online and traditional marketing.
  • Proven project management, critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge and understanding of targeting tools, consumer segments, media channels and processes.
  • Ability to problem-solve. Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and to train others. Exhibits attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, hands-on environment. Possess a can-do attitude and be results oriented.

Curriculum Content Developer

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, scheduling, developing and executing multiple types of marketing campaigns efficiently, on time, in budget and to a high degree of quality. The position will work across multiple marketing channels, and will coordinate activities and share critical information with various departments.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops content for training products, how-to books and references including live instruction, interactive online courses, webinars, video instruction, podcasts, books and other works.
  • Identifies product objectives and scope, creates outlines, researches and gathers subject matterinformation, and drafts, organizes and edits scripts, storyboards, manuscripts and presentation materialsfor publication.
  • Collaborates with staff and outsourced designers, developers, graphic designers and others to produce finished training products, how-to books, and references.
  • Interviews staff and outside subject-matter experts to gather knowledge, information and content; Reviews and edits the work of others for accuracy, consistency and effectiveness.
  • Organizes and prepares course curriculum, materials and application for state approval or certification as required.
  • Develops knowledge of U.S. Notary laws, rules and practices, and their practical applications and acts as Notary subject-matter expert in the development of education products.
  • Follows procedures for product development and review; Contributes to the maintenance of product-development archives.

Summary of Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience developing and authoring education and/or training materials.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in researching and drafting training content, manuscripts and presentation materialsfor publication.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills; Understanding of the functions and capabilities of learning development and learning management software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, business administration, etc. is preferred.
  • A strong command of the English language, grammar and style.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Word and PowerPoint.

Seminar Instructor (Part-time, based in the Orange County, CA area)

Effectively deliver and teach live California seminars and webinars to new and renewing notaries in preparation for the California Notary Exam. Ensure a professional experience for all attendees by providing high-quality training and excellent customer service. This position has the possible to become full-time in the future.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully complete new hire instructor training during specified period to include notary laws and best practices.
  • Successfully present a prepared seminar presentation within the specified time.
  • Facilitate live seminars and webinars as scheduled with an outcome of 88% or above Californian Notary Exam passing rate.
  • Follow script language during facilitation to ensure state-regulated guidelines are met.
  • Attend team meetings on a quarterly basis at NNA headquarters.
  • Process required seminar paperwork for each assignment.
  • Provide excellent and professional customer service for all attendees.

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Experience in training, adult education, or lengthy facilitation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience is desired.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to represent complex topics in simple terms.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional experience as a Notary is a plus.
  • Strong self-motivation, professional maturity, and a demonstrated ability to achieve goals independently.
  • The ability to think quickly and respond to questions that may not be covered in the materials.
  • Resourcefulness to maintain poise and improvise in various situations.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software is desired.
  • Experience working independently, either remotely or telecommuting, is a plus.
  • The ability to travel to various seminar locations is required, as is having reliable transportation and proof of current vehicle insurance.
